Product: High tensile fiberglass pin with and without "shoulder" cap. This specification covers the manufacture and supply of glass reinforced high strength polyester resin pins and shoulder-capped pins for use in the Retaining Wall Systems. Technical Requirements Pins Seamless Rod To eliminate spragging and to reduce oval shaped rods, the product shall be made from seamless dies. Matrix - Isophthalic Polyester Resin. Reinforcement - Glass "E" type. Supplier Grade A, export type. Nominal Dimensions - 12.6mm (+0/- 0.05mm) Nominal weight - 250 gm/M (+15gm/-5gm). Cut length - 133mm (+/- 0.5mm). Color -"Pantone yellow C", with a surface identification line, made from Nylon. Surface Finish - The pins shall be smooth and free from stains, cracks, pins, lumps, steps or indentations greater than 0.1mm in depth. Surface smoothness shall be equal to or smoother than the sample submitted. Straightness - 5mm / M length when tested as per ASTM D-3917. Short Beam Shear Strength - The Horizontal Shear Strength shall exceed 6, 400 psi (44MPa) when tested as per ASTM D4475-02, Span: 3: 1. Flexural Strength -The Flexural Strength shall exceed 128, 000 psi (885 MPa) when tested as per ASTM D-4476. Flexural Modulus -The Flexural Modulus shall exceed 4000 ksi (28GPa) when tested as per ASTM D-4476. Tensile Strength - The Tensile Strength shall exceed 108, 500 psi (750MPa) when tested as per ASTM D-3916. Tensile Modulus - Tensile Modulus shall exceed 4000 ksi (28GPa) when tested as per ASTM D-3916.
